Editorial and corrections policy
People use these pages to decide which program to pay for and when to renew. A fee that is out of date costs money, and a renewal date that is wrong can cost a lane at the airport, so every fee, duration and delay points back to the page it was read on, with the day it was read.
Who is responsible
Radif Partners, reachable at contact@ttpcompare.com.
What we read
- tsa.gov for TSA PreCheck: fees of each enrollment provider, renewal, Known Traveler Numbers, families, service members, card offers and checkpoint numbers;
- cbp.gov, ttp.dhs.gov and the Federal Register for Global Entry, NEXUS and SENTRI: fees, eligibility, interviews, Enrollment on Arrival, renewal and denials; dhs.gov for DHS TRIP;
- the Canada Border Services Agency for the Canadian side of NEXUS;
- CLEAR's own price page and each card issuer's own benefit page, quoted as facts with their date and never linked for a commission.
Sources we refuse
Blogs, forums, news articles and comparison sites never supply a figure here, even when they are right. When no official figure exists, as for waiting times at a given airport, the page says so instead of estimating one.
Review cycle
The official pages are re-read every month by a script that reports any sentence that changed, and by a person whenever an agency announces a change. A change announced for a later date is shown with that date, never as current before it.
Corrections
- We open the official page again.
- We correct the data file and its reading date, and add a test when a calculation is involved.
- The site rebuilds and every page shows the new date.
